Erin Matteson

Erin Matteson has extensive work experience in finance and budget management. Erin currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer, Opportunity and Well-being at the NC Department of Health and Human Services. Prior to this role, they served as an Assistant State Budget Officer at the Office of the Governor, North Carolina Office of State Budget & Management for over 14 years. Erin also worked as a Policy Advisor at NOAA and a Program Examiner at the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.

Erin Matteson earned a B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Later, they pursued a Master of Public Policy degree at the University of Maryland from 1998 to 2000.
