Jeffrey Marcum

Jeffrey Marcum has extensive work experience in various sectors. Jeffrey started their career in the United States Air Force as a Healthcare Administrator and served there from 1993 to 2005. After leaving the military, they worked as a Project Manager at Planned Systems International from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they served as a Senior Program Director at Ivan Walks and Associates for a brief period. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Healthcare IT Consultant. In 2012, they joined the Department of Veterans Affairs as the CIO for the VA Central Iowa Health Care System. After that, they worked as an Information Systems Financial Analyst at the Office of the Governor, North Carolina Office of State Budget & Management from 2015 to 2018. Currently, they are the Chief Budget Officer at the NC Department of Health and Human Services.

Jeffrey Marcum obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from the University of Kentucky in 1988. Jeffrey later earned a Masters in Public Administration, specializing in Health Policy, from the same university in 1993. In 1992, they also completed coursework on the British National Health System at Fairleigh Dickinson University. In 2008, they received a Masters Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University. In 2019, they completed their education with a Master of Project Management degree, specializing in Project Management, from Western Carolina University.
