Kevin Guo is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistical Science with a concentration in Data Science and Global Health at Duke University, expected to graduate in May 2027. Kevin's research experience includes participation in the Summer Student Research Program at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute and the Experiential Learning and Opportunity Internship Program at the NC Department of Health and Human Services, both starting in May 2025. Previous involvement includes the Scholars in Marine Medicine Program at Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment, the Summer Undergraduate MSTP Research Program at the University of Iowa, and the Undergraduate Research Program at the University of North Carolina Asheville. Kevin also participated in the Young Scholars Program at the American College of Cardiology from April 2022 to March 2023. Educational background includes attendance at East Chapel Hill High School, North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Durham Technical Community College.

The Department of Health and Human Services manages the delivery of health- and human-related services for all North Carolinians, especially our most vulnerable citizens – children, elderly, disabled and low-income families. NCDHHS also oversees 14 facilities: developmental centers, neuro-medical treatment centers, psychiatric hospitals, alcohol and drug abuse treatment centers, and two residential programs for children.
