Kristin Briggs

Kristin Briggs is a Clinical Nurse Educator at Appalachian Regional Healthcare System, a position held since June 2023. With a robust background in nursing, Kristin has served as a West Region School Health Nurse Consultant with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services since August 2013, where responsibilities include supporting local health departments and schools in assessing student health needs and managing school nursing services. Additional roles held include Director of the Public Health Nursing Institute for Continuing Excellence and Workforce Development and State Public Charter School Health Nurse Consultant. Prior nursing experience includes positions as Registered Nurse at Alexander County Schools and Lead School Nurse at Watauga County Schools. Kristin holds a Master of Science in Nursing, Nursing Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
