Sharon Bell

Sharon Bell is an experienced professional in child and family wellbeing, currently serving as the Deputy Director at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services since February 2022, following her role as the Child Behavioral Health Manager within the same division. Sharon's prior experience includes serving as Project Director at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from June 2019 to February 2022, and as Practice/Operations Manager at ABC of NC Child Development Center from March 2018 to June 2019. Additionally, Sharon held the position of Regional Executive Director for North and South Carolina at Behavioral Health Group from November 2016 to February 2018, and Executive Director at SAFE, Inc. from February 2015 to November 2016. Sharon's extensive career also includes various leadership roles at Barium Springs (Children's Hope Alliance) over a 20-year period from 1995 to 2015. Academic credentials include an MBA from Queens University of Charlotte and a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Relations from East Carolina University.
