Lauren Horsch

Lauren Horsch has a diverse background in communications and journalism, currently serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications and Communications Advisor for the North Carolina General Assembly since November 2019. Previous experience includes roles such as NC Insider Reporter for The News & Observer Publishing Company and various reporting positions for The Herald-Sun, The Des Moines Register, and other news organizations. Horsch also held editorial leadership positions at The Times-Delphic during her academic career at Drake University, where a BAJMC and BA in news/Internet and rhetoric were earned. Early professional experiences include internships with the Associated Press and ABC News, as well as a serving role at Perkins Restaurant and Bakery.
