Kristy Skender is an accomplished accounting professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Senior Director of Accounting at Premier Inc. since July 2016, Kristy has also held titles including Director of Accounting and Director of Revenue Accounting within the same organization. In addition, Kristy is a Board Member and Treasurer at NC MedAssist since August 2021. Prior experience includes a tenure at Deloitte from September 2004 to July 2016 as an Audit Senior Manager, and earlier roles as a Financial Assistant at the Boston Stock Exchange from June 2001 to May 2003. Kristy holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Rochester.

NC MedAssist
NC MedAssist is committed to helping low-income, uninsured North Carolina residents receive FREE life-saving prescription medication by operating a licensed pharmacy as well as providing Mobile Free Pharmacy events in counties all over the state, distributing approx. $100,000 in over-the-counter medications at each event. We partner with local community colleges, hospitals, social services, the health department and other local organizations to provide health care advocacy, educational services as well as health care checks at each event (i.e diabetic checks/education). Our overall goal is to improve the health of not only our Free Pharmacy patients, but all NC residents who attend our events, by enabling them to obtain life-saving prescription medications for chronic illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, asthma as well as critical OTCs. NC MedAssist is the only organization of its type in NC.
