Phillip Chen, 陈话, has extensive experience in technology and education, currently serving as a Board Director at the National Council of Chinese Americans since January 2010, where also manages the National Center for Education Science & Technology and leads the Science & Technology Committee. Previous roles include President of BroadbandMD, overseeing an Internet TV startup and establishing a joint venture in Beijing; Vice President of Research & Development at Orblynx, where contributions included developing the first Internet CDN; Project Engineer at A&T Systems for Intelsat Internet Distribution Systems; and Network Architect for NASA ECS at Hughes Information Systems. Academic achievements comprise a Ph.D. and MSE in Computer Science & Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, a Ph.D. and MS in Condensed Matter & Theoretical Physics from the University of Utah, and a BSc and MS in Nuclear Physics & Particle Theory from Peking University.
