Luca Viano is a PhD Candidate in Computer Science at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne since September 2021. As a mentee at LeadTheFuture Mentorship since September 2020, Luca is among the few Italian students selected for the program known for its competitive acceptance rate, providing guidance from distinguished mentors in STEM. In addition, Luca served as a PhD visitor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in late 2023. Previous experience includes roles as a Data Scientist and Software Engineer, as well as internships in Data Science and Numerical Nanophotonics at Datapred and CSEM, respectively. Luca holds a Master's degree in Computational Science and Engineering from EPFL and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Politecnico di Torino.
