Andrew Thomas

Andrew (Drew) Thomas, PE, has extensive experience in the field of civil engineering, particularly in rail safety and data management. Since 1996, Andrew has served as the Data Analysis & Inventory Manager at NCDOT's Rail Division, where responsibilities include managing highway rail crossing inventory and analyzing rail infrastructure data. Previously, Andrew held the position of Crossing Safety Engineering Manager within NCDOT, overseeing the highway-rail grade crossing safety program, which involved planning, civil design, and management of safety projects. Prior to joining NCDOT, Andrew worked as the Product Distribution Manager for G. B. Green & Son from 1985 to 1989. Andrew holds a BSCE and MSE in Civil Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, earned between 1989 and 1995.
