David Alford

David Alford, CPM, MCS, PE has extensive experience in engineering and technology, currently serving as the Engineering Applications Development Manager at NCDOT since May 1994. In this role, David develops applications for roadway and structural design, as well as forecasting maintenance for highway assets. Concurrently, since August 1993, David functions as a Sideline Communications Engineer at North Carolina State University, managing the coaches' headset system for effective communication during games. David began a career in surveying with O'Connor Surveying from May 1990 to August 1993, focusing on public and private parcel surveys. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, both obtained from North Carolina State University.
