Beth Magistad

Beth Magistad is an experienced editor, interviewer, and writer currently working at The Greater Good Science Center since February 2024 and serving as the Editor for CFLE Network at the National Council on Family Relations since September 2022. Prior to these roles, Beth spent over 17 years at the University of Minnesota, where responsibilities included Director of Parent and Family Education and Teaching Faculty, focusing on undergraduate courses related to Parent-Child Relationships, Aging Families, Family Policy, and Family Resource Management. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Family Social Science and an M.A. in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota, a B.S. in Psychology from UW-Madison, and a Parent Education License.
