NC League of Municipalities
Desmond Worrell, MPA, currently serves as the ARP Special Projects Coordinator at the NC League of Municipalities, a position held since July 2023. Worrell gained experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Western Carolina University from August 2021 to May 2023, where support was provided to professors and feedback was given to a large number of students in American Government and Public Policy courses. Prior to that, a internship with the Southwestern Commission involved collaboration on the Digital Inclusion Plan and grant research. Leadership experience includes serving as President of the Western Carolina University Interfraternity Council and holding multiple roles in the Sigma Phi Epsilon NC Pi Chapter. Worrell earned a Master's degree in Public Affairs and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Western Carolina University.
