Harilaos Koumaras

Harilaos Koumaras, PhD, holds extensive experience in the field of telecommunications and computer science, currently serving as Technical Manager and Principal Investigator for various projects at NCSR "DEMOKRITOS," including roles in the 6G-IA/SNS initiatives and Horizon Europe projects. Koumaras has been instrumental in projects focusing on 5G applications, UAV systems, and hybrid network technologies. As Head of the FRONT research group and an independent ICT expert for the European Commission, Koumaras contributes significantly to academic and industry advancements. With a strong educational background including a PhD in Computer Science, MSc in Electronic Automation, and a BSc in Physics, Koumaras also has a notable teaching history in various academic institutions. Additionally, Koumaras co-founded INFOLYSiS and holds leadership positions in IEEE and the Hellenic American College, showcasing a commitment to innovation and education in technology.
