Andrea Walker has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Andrea started their career in 1999 as an Assistant Director of Career Development at the University of Maryland. In 2001, they joined NEA and worked as a Manager of Strategy/Organizational Effectiveness. Later, they became an Associate Director for Centers for Enterprise Strategy/Innovation & Technology. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director in the Officer of the Executive Director and NEA Strategy at NEA. Additionally, Andrea serves as a Board Member for Catalyst for Educational Change since 2021.
Andrea Walker holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. Andrea also has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Counseling & Career Development from the University of Maryland. In addition to their academic qualifications, Andrea has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including being a Certified Executive Coach and Certified Professional Coach from iPEC Coaching, an Energy Leadership™ Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) from iPEC Coaching, and an Organization Development Certificate from AU/NTL American University/National Training Labs. Andrea also holds a Certification in Principles & Practices of Organization Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, and is an MBTI Certified Interpreter through OKA (Otto Kroeger Associates). Andrea is an active member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) since September 2023.
