Brian Washington

Brian Washington is a Senior Communications Strategist at the National Education Association. Brian serves as the project manager for the Org Comms team, providing strategic communications counsel for membership and issue advocacy campaigns. Before their current role, Brian worked as an Interim Manager for Organizing Communications and as a Senior Writer/Editor and Senior Press Officer at NEA. Prior to joining NEA, Brian gained experience in reporting and anchoring at various television stations and worked as a Legislative Specialist/Lobbyist at the North Carolina Association of Educators. Brian holds a Master of Public Policy from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Journalism from Rutgers University.
