Tom Zheng

Tom Zheng has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Tom started their career in 2018 as a Casual Academic at UNSW, where they taught programming to over 50 students. Tom experimented with innovative teaching methods, including gamification and building a prototype system for online learning.

In 2018, they also worked at 365English as a Software Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for a high-throughput RESTful Java/Scala backend and rewrote interaction logic in JS for improved performance.

In 2020, Tom worked as a Front-End Intern at Canva, gaining experience in front-end development. Tom also worked at Neara in the same year as a Software Engineer.

In 2021, Tom returned to Neara and continues to work as a Software Engineer.

Tom Zheng completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree with a field of study in Computer Software Engineering from UNSW. Tom pursued this degree from 2017 to 2021.
