Chris Nicol is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in developing collaborative solutions, particularly in educational technology. Since July 2010, Chris has been with SMART Technologies, initially as a firmware engineer and currently as an electrical engineer, focusing on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Prior experience includes a role as an electronics contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, and a teaching assistant position at the University of Calgary, assisting in electronic circuits coursework. Earlier work at Grindcom involved developing control systems for forestry harvester units, encompassing circuit design and software development. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
