Nic Swiercek

Nic Swiercek currently serves as the Development & Engagement Senior Director at Nebraska Appleseed, a position held since June 2010. Prior to this role, Nic worked as a Contract Field Organizer for the Human Rights Campaign and Nebraska Appleseed, focusing on health care access and advocating for the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." Additionally, a summer fellowship at the Midwest Coalition for Human Rights involved researching health and safety in the meatpacking industry. Nic's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in History and Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, graduate coursework in American History, and pursuit of a Master of Public Administration in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
