Bill Bowes has extensive experience in both fire service and education, currently running as a candidate for the Nebraska Legislature since April 2025. Previously, Bill served as the Fire Chief of the Papillion Fire Department from March 2006 to April 2025 and held various roles at the Omaha Fire Department from September 1984 to March 2006. Bill contributed as a volunteer on the Community Investment Review Team for the United Way of the Midlands from 2012 until April 2025. An educator as well, Bill taught secondary education, focusing on math and physical education, and coached sports at Bellevue Christian Academy from August 1981 to May 1984. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Asbury University and an Associate's degree in Fire Protection Technology from Pikes Peak State College, along with a certificate in Certified Public Manager from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
