Jennifer Canvasser is the Founder and Executive Director of the NEC Society, an organization established in January 2014 focused on addressing the challenges of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), a serious intestinal disease impacting premature and medically fragile infants. With a background as an Environmental Health Organizer at the Ecology Center from May 2010 to June 2015, Jennifer has extensive experience in advocacy and community health. Jennifer holds a Bachelor's degree in Developmental and Child Psychology from UCLA and a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Community Organizing, Planning, and Administration from the University of Southern California. Currently, Jennifer is enrolled in a PhD program in Sociology at the University of California, Davis.
