Jim W. is an experienced telecommunications professional with a diverse background in network operations and engineering. Currently serving as a Sr. Network Operations Specialist in Submarine Cable Operations at Alaska Communications since February 2019, Jim previously held roles including Technician at NECA/IBEW Local 48 and Field Engineer at Level 3 Communications. With extensive experience in project management and network installation, Jim has been responsible for the installation, decommissioning, and troubleshooting of network equipment since starting in the industry at MCI/World and AT&T. Jim's educational background includes Cisco CCNA training from Clark College and an AAS in Electronics/Computer Technology from Oregon Polytechnic Institute.
