Ricardo Parra

VP, Creative at Nécessaire

Ricardo Parra is the current VP, Creative at Nécessaire. Ricardo has over fifteen years of experience in the cosmetics industry, with a focus on store design and visual merchandising.

Parra began their career in 2005 as a project manager at Janson Goldstein LLP. Ricardo then spent five years at MAC Cosmetics, where they served as Director of Global Store Design. In this role, Parra was responsible for the design and development of MAC's flagship stores and counters worldwide.

In 2012, Parra joined The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. as Executive Director of Store Design and Visual Merchandising for Latin America. In this role, they oversaw the design and execution of all retail projects for Estee Lauder, Clinique, MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, La Mer, Jo Malone, Smashbox, Aramis, and Designer Fragrances.

In 2014, Parra left The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. to join Smashbox Cosmetics as Director of Global Retail Design. Ricardo held this position until 2018, when they joined Nécessaire as VP, Creative.

Ricardo Parra has a Master of Arts in Photography and Video from New York University and a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) in Architecture from Universidad Central de Venezuela.

Ricardo Parra reports to Randi Christiansen, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Nick Axelrod - Co-Founder, Raffaella Pierson - VP, Product & Impact, and Corinne Solis - VP, Operations & Planning.
