Meghan Spivak has a diverse work experience in various industries. Meghan currently works at NECI as a Strategic Account Manager since March 2022. Prior to NECI, they were a Project Manager at the same company from July 2020 to March 2022.
Before joining NECI, Meghan was with Oxy from 2016 to 2020. Meghan began as a Production Engineer and rapidly progressed within the company, eventually joining the production management team. During their time at Oxy, they worked on optimizing production fields and facilities, identifying efficiency improvements, and implementing innovative solutions. Meghan's contributions saved the company millions of dollars and increased profitability. Meghan also completed field rotations as part of Oxy's Field Development Engineering Program, specializing in work-over and completions, artificial lift engineering, and well optimization analysis.
In 2015, before joining Oxy, Meghan was a Production Engineering Intern, where they analyzed reservoir completions and identified recompletion candidates to optimize production performance. Meghan successfully managed a multi-million dollar project resulting in significant returns for Oxy.
Meghan's early work experience includes an internship at Enviroclean USA LLC as an Environmental Engineering Intern. Meghan developed air quality permits for clients, reviewed compliance with regulations, and surveyed sites for chemical storage and waste management compliance. Meghan also demonstrated knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations during this role.
Before completing their internships, Meghan worked as a Research Assistant in the Analytical Chemistry Department at The University of Tulsa. Their work focused on optimizing the zinc oxide seed layer for the growth of nanostructured photovoltaics, with the goal of creating cost-effective and efficient solar cells. Sample development and photo-luminescence analysis were among their responsibilities.
Meghan Spivak attended Shawnee Mission East High School from 2008 to 2012, where they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Following high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at The University of Tulsa from 2012 to 2016.
In addition to their formal education, Meghan Spivak has obtained several certifications. Meghan completed the Project Management Fundamentals course at the International Institute for Learning in August 2019. In October 2017, they completed the Well Control School program offered by Wild Well. In November 2015, they obtained an Engineer In Training certification from NCEES. Meghan Spivak has also participated in the SAChE Certificate Program offered by the AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers, specifically in the areas of Basics of Laboratory Safety and Safety in the Chemical Process Industries.
