Sammy (Masindi) Malaka is currently the SAFARI-1 Manager for Reactor Operations and Maintenance at Necsa, overseeing the daily operation and maintenance of the SAFARI-1 Research Reactor along with its ageing management programme activities. Before joining Necsa in 2015, Sammy held various positions including SAFARI-1 Head Facility Engineering and Ageing Management Programme Manager and Technical Project Manager at Armscor. Sammy has an extensive educational background, pursuing multiple degrees in engineering and management from several universities, including a Master of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from North-West University.
