André Soares

André Soares is a seasoned business developer with a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology. Currently serving as a Business Developer at NecstGen since March 2024, André previously held the role of Business Development Manager at Stemmatters from November 2020 to November 2023. André has experience as an External Consultant for Sonae IM, working on a venture capital platform project, and as a Senior Research Associate at FairJourney Biologics, where responsibilities included executing antibody discovery projects and training new scientists. Prior positions include Protein Scientist in the Oncology R&D pipeline at Immunocore Limited and a PhD student at the University of Coimbra, where André focused on the characterization of plant proteases. André holds an MBA from Porto Business School and a PhD, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Universidade de Coimbra.
