Bongani Mhlophe

Bongani Mhlophe is an experienced professional in the fields of quantitative analytics and risk management, currently serving as the Head of Modelling & Insights at Nedbank since February 2020. Prior to this role, Bongani held positions at FNB South Africa as a Quantitative Analytics Manager and Senior Quantitative Analyst, as well as at FirstRand Group as a Model Risk Auditor. Early career experiences include roles at Absa Group as a Quantitative Risk Auditor and Retail Credit Risk Analyst. Bongani possesses a strong academic background, including a Master's in Commerce with a focus on Financial Economics from the University of Johannesburg and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice from Henley Business School. Additional qualifications include studies in Computational Intelligence and Pure Mathematics from the University of Johannesburg and the University of the Witwatersrand.
