Gustav Ponelis

Gustav Ponelis is an accomplished Solution Architect and Engineering Lead with extensive experience in digital engineering and system integration. Currently employed at Nedbank since April 2020, Gustav has led various projects focused on digital platforms and backend systems. Previously, Gustav held a position as a Solution Architect at Standard Bank Group and served as Engineering Lead at Nedbank from 2015 to 2019. Prior experience includes roles at IBM as an IBM Certified Application Architect, as well as significant positions at Absa, Mutual & Federal, and Cornell University, where a strong foundation in systems analysis and design was established. Gustav holds an Hons BSc in Information Systems and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of South Africa, in addition to a strong academic background evidenced by a high-achieving matriculation.
