Herman Broers

Herman Broers serves as Treasurer of Scheepvaartkring Rotterdam since July 2023, contributing to a professional network of over 100 members across various sectors in transportation. In addition, Herman holds the position of Honorary Secretary for The Nautical Institute's Netherlands Branch, an NGO promoting maritime professionalism and safety. As Managing Director and Shareholder of Nederlands Loodswezen, leadership involves supporting maritime pilots in the Netherlands. Other roles include Chief Pilot and Vice Chairman of Loodsen Societeit Rotterdam and Maritime Pilot for the Rotterdam Maritime Pilot Corporation, providing navigation advice in the Port of Rotterdam. Previous significant positions include President of Rotterdam Pilots and Secretary of the Verantwoordingsorgaan VO van Beroepspensienfonds Loodsen. Herman holds a Master’s Degree in Maritime Shipping Innovation from NHL Stenden and a Master Mariner qualification from Willem Barentsz Nautical College.
