Brian Smith

Brian Smith has extensive experience in fire investigation and management, currently serving as a Fire Analyst at NEFCO Fire Investigations since October 1996, where responsibilities include conducting Origin & Cause investigations for the insurance industry in accordance with NFPA standards. Additionally, since January 1982, Brian has held the position of Captain/Fire Investigator at Sanford Fire Department in Maine, overseeing three stations and nine personnel while managing daily operations that encompass emergency responses, fire investigation, training, prevention activities, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Brian received education from Southern Maine Community College.
