Matthew Walter is a skilled professional with a focus on crisis intervention and advocacy for children and youth. Currently serving as a Crisis Interventionist at The Neighborhood Center Inc. since November 2022, Matthew provides therapeutic support to youth in psychiatric crisis, collaborating with families to ensure safety and stability. Previously, Matthew held roles as a Children’s Care Manager at YWCA Mohawk Valley and as a Victim Advocate at Herkimer Child Advocacy Center. Additionally, experience as a Youth Mentor at The Kelberman Center further highlights Matthew's dedication to supporting young individuals. Educational achievements include a Bachelor’s degree in Community & Behavioral Health from SUNY Polytechnic Institute and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Mohawk Valley Community College.
