Senior Marketing Operations Specialist at Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island

Shellie Moniz has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Shellie started their career at IHS CERA, where they worked as an Assistant to the Sales Director, Asia/Pacific from March 1995 to July 1998, and later as an Assistant to the Managing Director, Operations from July 1998 to September 2000.

After that, Shellie joined the Community College of Rhode Island as an Administrative Assistant for the Rhode Island Early Childhood Education and Training Program Grant program. Their responsibilities included file maintenance, office correspondence, faculty schedules, and supporting the Grant Coordinator with monitoring student progress and course completion. Shellie held this role from January 2012 to September 2012.

In 2012, Shellie also joined Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, where they held multiple roles. Shellie started as an Administrative Assistant, Operations, providing support to the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Operations. Their tasks included calendar maintenance, travel and conference scheduling, correspondence, and office coordination. Shellie also organized departmental meetings and managed incoming correspondence. Shellie held this position from September 2012 to July 2014.

Shellie then transitioned to the role of Compliance Specialist at Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. In this role, they created a comprehensive compliance training curriculum, served as a subject matter expert on HIPAA standards, and delivered presentations to new-hire orientations. Shellie also produced organizational communications on compliance topics. Shellie worked in this role from July 2014 to November 2021.

Later in 2021, Shellie assumed the position of Marketing Production Specialist at Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. Their responsibilities included creating member and potential member marketing materials, ensuring brand adherence and readability requirements. Shellie also developed and implemented communication plans and assisted with writing, reviewing, and editing member materials. Shellie currently holds this role.

Shellie Moniz has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management & Marketing from Bryant University. Shellie obtained this degree from the university between 1990 and 1993. Shellie later pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Communication, General from the same institution, completing it between 2014 and 2018.
