Lara M Cano Maler is currently a Medical Scribe at Neighborhood Healthcare since September 2022 and serves as a Department Coordinator in the Surgical/Trauma ICU at Palomar Health, where roles also included Medical Interpreter and Pathmaker Intern across various levels. Involvement with MiMentor includes participation in the Medical School Readiness program for the 2022-2023 cohort. Additionally, Lara has volunteered with Sharp HealthCare and held multiple leadership positions within Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, including President of the Beta Theta Class. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UC San Diego and an Associate in Science for Transfer Degree in Biology from San Diego Mesa College.
