Tom Spoden

Tom Spoden currently serves as Controller at Neighborhood Loans since April 2020, having previously held the role of Assistant Controller. Prior to this position, Tom spent a decade at STC Capital Bank as Executive Vice President CFO/COO, overseeing mortgage loan operations and compliance while also serving as the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for fiscal reporting and strategic direction. Tom's earlier experience includes various financial leadership roles at HSBC, including Vice President/Director positions in Business Support and Analysis and Financial Planning and Analysis, where financial support and planning for consumer lending were key responsibilities. Earlier in the career, Tom held positions at Household Bank and First Federal Savings and Loan Association, focusing on financial reporting, planning, and accounting operations. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Illinois University.
