Ron Shimek

Ron Shimek is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in franchise operations, training, and organizational effectiveness. Currently, Ron holds the position of President for both Mr. Handyman and Mr. Appliance at Neighborly® since April 2019. Previously, Ron served as Vice President of Franchise Operations and Training at Northcott Hospitality, overseeing the performance and quality assurance of over 200 hotels, and as Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness and Training, leading significant organizational improvements and training initiatives. Ron's earlier roles included Senior Director of Operations at Carlson, where contributions were made to the rebranding of major hotel brands, as well as positions at Conseco Finance Service Corp and GE Capital. Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Saint John's University.
