Bob Brandt

Bob Brandt has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles in the field of data engineering and business intelligence. Bob is currently working as a Data Engineer at Neighborly® since October 2021. Previously, they were employed at Sanchez & Associates from June 2019 to October 2021, where they served as a BI Contractor - Reports Developer.

Before that, Bob worked as a Business Intelligence Contractor at Double Line, Inc. from January 2019 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for migrating EdFi operational datastore v2.5 to AWS, developing T-SQL scripts for data loads, and creating PostgreSQL scripts to support Data Vault data loads on AWS.

From 2011 to 2015, Bob worked at Double Line Inc. as a Development Manager, Technical Lead Dashboard Implementations, Senior Developer, and ETL Developer. In these roles, they oversaw multiple Ed-Fi dashboard implementation projects, established technical direction, and provided mentoring for development staff.

Bob also has experience as a Business Intelligence Developer at U.S. Xpress, Inc. in 2010, where they developed staging area tables using SQL Server, performed ETL using SSIS, and generated dashboards and reports using SSRS. Bob also built a multi-dimensional cube and wrote MDX queries against it.

In 2009, Bob acquired Business Intelligence Certification from SetFocus. Bob implemented a Labor Analysis Business Intelligence solution, consolidated data from diverse sources into a SQL Server database, and used SSIS for data imports and integration flow.

Bob's early career includes a role as a Team Leader at GTSI in 1993-1994, where they were responsible for computer hardware and software sales to the federal government in the Atlanta, GA region. Bob successfully managed a sales team to exceed sales quotas.

Bob Brandt has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of North Texas. In 2009, they attended SetFocus - The Masters Program, BI Track, where they pursued a degree in Business Intelligence. Along with their academic qualifications, Bob also holds a certification as a HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, which they obtained in October 2022 from HashiCorp.
