Tyler Fentie is an experienced professional in accessible gaming and engineering with a strong focus on enhancing user experiences. Currently serving as the Accessible Gaming Lead at Neil Squire Society since January 2021, Tyler successfully launched the GAME Checkpoint program, establishing nine pioneering accessible gaming spaces in Canada. Previous roles include Co-Founder of UMOVE, where Tyler developed solutions for transitioning pediatric patients to power wheelchairs, and Junior Mechanical Engineer at Makers Making Change, where an open-source project documentation template was created to improve accessibility in design processes. Tyler also gained valuable skills as a Mechatronics Engineering Intern, expanding outreach in the Edmonton area and enhancing CAD design proficiency. Additionally, experiences as Head Counselor at Diabetes Canada and a Research Assistant at MacEwan University contributed to Tyler's leadership and project development skills. Tyler holds a Mechanical Engineering degree with a focus in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
