David Taylor

David Taylor has extensive work experience in the travel and tourism industry. David started their career at Baker Tilly as an Auditor and Audit Manager from 1991 to 1995. David then worked at VTR plc as a Financial Controller from 1996 to 1997. From 1997 to 2000, they served as the Group Financial Accountant and later as the Director of Group Reporting & Planning at Tui Travel PLC. David then held various finance director roles at Tui Travel PLC, including Finance Director of Specialist Holidays Group from 2002 to 2004 and Finance Director of TUI UK (Thomson) from 2004 to 2007. David was also the Finance Director of TUI UK (Thomson & First Choice) from 2007 to 2010.

David joined Thomas Cook Group in 2011 and served as the Transformation Director, where they led a major cross-business change program and developed a full UK turnaround plan. David later became the CFO of Thomas Cook UK from 2012 to 2013.

In 2013, David joined Neilson Active Holidays as the Finance & Commercial Director. David worked with private equity backers to buy the company from Thomas Cook and led the separation of the business. David also developed and implemented a new strategy with the Managing Director. In 2016, David became the Managing Director of Neilson Active Holidays.

David Taylor attended Dr Challoner's Grammar from 1982 to 1988. David then went on to the University of Birmingham from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a BEng degree in Electronic Engineering. From 1991 to 1996, David attended Baker Tilly and obtained an ICAEW qualification.
