Nero Denney has a strong background in web development and software engineering. Nero started their career at ENER-G PLC as a Software Engineer, where they helped design and create internet-based energy management applications. Nero then moved on to Groundsure, where they initially worked as a Web Developer, focused on creating and managing a new ordering platform. Nero was later promoted to Lead Web Developer and took on additional responsibilities such as organizing team sprints, mentoring junior developers, and assigning workloads. Most recently, Nero worked at Neilson Active Holidays as a Lead Web Developer, where they built and maintained their holiday e-commerce websites/platforms while mentoring junior developers and advising on technological needs. Throughout their career, Nero has worked with various technologies including Drupal, VueJS, PHP, C#, Silverlight, and SQL.
Nero Denney has a strong educational background in software engineering and psychology. In 2008, they obtained their BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from the University of Brighton. Nero then pursued a Foundation degree in Computer Software Engineering at the same university from 2008 to 2009. In 2014, Nero completed a course in Forensic Psychology: Witness Investigation from The Open University. Additionally, they received training in programming mobile applications for Android handheld systems at the University of Maryland. Nero also gained expertise in HP IDOL Data Autonomy as an administrator through training at Hewlett-Packard. Lastly, Nero attended Chichester College from 2004 to 2006, where they completed their A-Level studies in Computing, Chemistry, and Psychology.
