Daniel Muller

Daniel Muller is the Director of Editorial Creative Media at the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), where they lead a team dedicated to creating engaging multimedia content that enhances medical understanding. With a background as an award-winning biomedical illustrator and interactive media designer, Daniel is also the Founding Partner and Interactive Director of Haderer & Müller. They hold a master’s degree in Medical and Biological Illustration from Johns Hopkins University, where they studied as a Fulbright Scholar, and a licenciatura in Biology/Zoology from the University of Lisbon. Their career began in Lisbon, where they co-founded the country’s first biomedical illustration and anaplastology studio and continue to contribute to international projects. Daniel is an active member of the Association of Medical Illustrators, currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors.
