Karyn Cassello

Karyn Cassello has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Karyn began their career at Yale University as a Research Coordinator, where they worked until February 2000. In January 2001, they joined AAI Pharma as a Data Manager until August 2003. Karyn then moved on to Chiron Corporation as a Data Quality Analyst from September 2003 to November 2006. Karyn joined Amgen in January 2007 as a Sr. Associate in Clinical Data Management for a duration of 10 months. Karyn then worked at Theravance as a Manager in Clinical Data from October 2007 to June 2008. Karyn briefly served as the Manager of Clinical Data Management at Elan from June to December 2008. In February 2009, they became a Data Management Consultant at Theravance for a short period of time. Karyn has been with Nektar Therapeutics since April 2009 and has held various roles, including Manager of Data Management (2009-2013), Associate Director of Clinical Data Management (2013-2015), Director of Clinical Data Management (2015-2019), and Senior Director of Clinical Data Management (2019-2022). Starting in September 2022, they have taken on the role of Senior Director of Clinical Systems and Compliance at Nektar Therapeutics.

Karyn Cassello began their education journey in 1993 when they enrolled at Southern Connecticut State University. Karyn pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, focusing on Mental Health. During this time, they also took minor courses in Sociology and Studio Arts. Karyn completed their undergraduate studies in 1997.

Following their undergraduate degree, Karyn continued their education at Southern Connecticut State University. From 1997 to 1999, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Quantitative Analysis and Research Measurement.
