Dan Farnworth

Dan Farnworth, CPA, currently serves as Senior Director of Accounting & Finance at Nelnet, a position held since January 2020, with prior roles including Director and Senior Manager in the same department. Previously, Dan worked at Spreetail as Assistant Controller, where responsibilities included implementing revenue recognition and lease compliance under ASC standards, assisting in a capital raise for private equity investment, and standardizing accounting processes. Dan's experience also includes a tenure at Eaton as Accounting and Finance Manager, where duties ranged from overseeing financial operations to serving as interim controller. Additionally, Dan contributed to financial analysis and cash management at Forest City Enterprises as a Financial Analyst. Beyond the finance sector, Dan has a background in sports instruction and has held various managerial roles in fitness. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Weatherhead School of Management, and Dan is currently pursuing a Master of Theological Studies at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
