Jerry O'Brien

Jerry O'Brien is an experienced IT Software Architect at Nelnet, focusing on innovative projects within the Technical Diversification team since March 2025. Prior to this, Jerry worked as a SoC Design Engineer at Intel Corporation, specializing in full-stack web development and integration with data platforms from January 2016 to September 2019. Jerry's career also includes a substantial tenure at KRM Information Services, Inc. as a Software Engineer where custom applications and APIs were developed, and as a Partner at Cutting Edge Systems, emphasizing web development and network management. Jerry began a professional journey at Sandia National Laboratory, contributing to embedded software development and system administration from 1979 to 1989. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with an Electrical Engineering minor from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry University.
