Katrina Broughman is an experienced educator and leader currently serving as a Middle School English Teacher at Albemarle County Public Schools since January 2023 and as the Executive Director of Recover Virginia since November 2021. Broughman also teaches English at Nelson County Public Schools and has held various roles in education, including Adult Education Regional Instructional Recovery Specialist at Amherst County Public Schools and ESL/GED Head Teacher at Rockbridge County Public Schools. Additionally, Broughman has contributed as a volunteer with the Virginia Master Naturalist - Central Blue Ridge Chapter and LexCollective, and previously served as Program Director at Rockfish Valley Foundation. Broughman holds a Master of Education in Environment-Based Learning and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology from Mary Baldwin University, along with a Master's degree in Environmental Sociology from Morehead State University.
