Riza Cader

Riza Cader, CPA, CGA has extensive work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Riza is currently serving as the Executive Director, Corporate Controller at Nelson since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Global Corporate Finance Manager at BGIS from July 2017 to December 2021. At Entertainment One, Riza held the positions of Finance Director - Reporting from May 2016 to July 2017 and Controller from September 2014 to April 2016. During their time at Unilever, they served in multiple roles including Associate Finance Manager for US Benefits Finance from February 2013 to June 2014, Associate Finance Manager for General Accounting & Operations - North America from January 2010 to January 2013, Associate Finance Manager for Reporting & General Accounting from May 2008 to December 2009, and Canada Team Lead for the Global SAP Project from August 2007 to December 2008. Riza also worked as a Senior Financial Analyst for Home & Personal Care at Unilever from September 2005 to August 2007. Earlier in their career, Riza gained experience as an Accounting Analyst at Sun Life Financial from January 2004 to September 2005 and as an Accountant at Del Property Management from June 2000 to December 2003, where they served as a Property Accountant. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their proficiency in financial reporting, management, and analysis, as well as their ability to streamline processes and drive change.

Riza Cader, CPA, CGA, holds an IFRS Certification in Accounting & Finance from ICAEW, which was obtained in 2011 to 2012. Additionally, Riza Cader earned a Professional Designation in Accounting & Finance as a Certified General Accountant, completed from 1998 to 2005. Furthermore, Riza Cader received an A Level in Accounting and Finance from the University of London in 1997. Riza Cader is also a member of Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) and holds a CPA-CGA designation.
