Sam Smith, OCT, currently serves as the Teaching and Learning Lead at Nelson, focusing on designing and optimizing professional learning programs in collaboration with the marketing team. Prior to this role, Sam held positions as a Low Incidence Technology Coach and SEA Technology Coach at LEARNstyle Ltd., providing technology support to educators and students with complex learning needs. Additional experience includes roles such as Education Interpreter at the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and Environmental Education Associate at the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, where Sam facilitated environmental education programs. As Chief Creativity Officer at STEM MINDS CORP, Sam led the creative direction for educational initiatives and developed STEM programming for students. Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Highest Distinction in Education from Ontario Tech University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, Visual Studies, and Music History and Culture from the University of Toronto.
