Douglas Spear

Douglas Spear is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law. Currently serving as Partner and Co-Chair of the Corporate Group at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough since January 2025, Douglas is also the Managing Director at Service Provider Capital, a position held since March 2017. Previously, Douglas was the Chief Legal Officer at Greenlight from April 2022 to January 2025, and held various partnerships at Nelson Mullins from July 2010 to April 2022 and DLA Piper from May 2006 to July 2010. Early in their career, Douglas was an Associate at Morris Manning & Martin and Pietragallo, Bosick & Gordon. Douglas earned a JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a BA in History from the University of Pennsylvania.
