Nelson Martin

Nelson Martin has a strong background in environmental, health, and safety management. Nelson started their career as an Environmental&QA Supervisor/ISO Manager at Rentech Nitrogen, LLC in 2012, where they managed various compliance programs and regulations including Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act. Nelson also led the Quality Assurance Laboratory team and maintained ISO 9001-2008 and Food Safety (FSSC 22000) programs.

In 2016, Nelson joined Nelson Packaging Company, Inc. as the Director of Health, Safety, and Environmental. In this role, they successfully led all environmental, safety, and health activities for a consumer products contract manufacturer. Nelson achieved notable accomplishments such as reducing the OSHA recordable incident rate and workers compensation claims by approximately 50%. Nelson Martin has a diverse education history in the field of environmental health and safety. Nelson started their educational journey at the Community College of the Air Force from 1976 to 1986, where they earned an Associate's degree in Bio-Environmental Engineering. Following this, Nelson attended Zane State College from 1987 to 1988 and obtained an Associate's Degree in Environmental Resource Management. Later on, they pursued further education at Ohio University from 2010 to 2014, where they achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety.

In addition to their formal education, Nelson Martin also holds a certification in OSHA 30 Hour from the OSHA institution, obtained in October 2008.
