Jennifer has 15 years of experience in transportation planning and policy, with an emphasis on master plans, multimodal corridors, and strategic visioning. A creative thinker with a passion for building great cities, she understands the connection between the places we live, the ways we get around, and our individual and community health.
Jennifer is one of the firm’s leaders in congestion pricing studies, integrated transportation visions, and TOD corridor plans. She is highly skilled at strategic planning, equity framework development, and executive-level facilitation. Jennifer uses innovative approaches to engage stakeholders and shape plans and projects that best meet the needs of the community.
At a time when the intersection of transportation and public health has never been more critical, Jennifer’s background in both fields gives her a deep understanding of how transportation impacts the health and equity of our communities. She puts this knowledge to work for her clients and is currently leading cross-disciplinary projects in Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Portland, and Maui.
Before joining Nelson\Nygaard, Jennifer spent eight years at the Seattle Department of Transportation. She played a lead role in the city’s pedestrian and transit master plans, managed the Elliott Bay Seawall Project, and developed Seattle’s Public Space Program.
