Martin Kussmann, PhD, serves as the Head of Knowledge and Innovation at the Kompetenzzentrum für Ernährung since January 2023 and holds the position of Chairman of the Strategic Advisory Board at NemaLife, Inc. since October 2023. Kussmann is also the founder and CEO of Kussmann Biotech GmbH, offering consulting services in biotechnology, health, nutrition, and sustainability. As an Associate Editor for Frontiers journals and a former Chief Scientific Officer at Nuritas and the Diabetes Center Berne, Kussmann has extensive experience in nutrition and health research. Additionally, Kussmann has contributed to the scientific community as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Keystone Symposia and has held significant academic roles, including Honorary Professor for Nutritional Sciences at the University of Aarhus. Educational qualifications include a Master and PhD in Analytical Biochemistry from the University of Konstanz, a PostDoc in Proteomics from Syddansk Universitet, and dual Bachelor degrees in Chemistry from RWTH Aachen University.
